Shubhangi Gokhale

Shubhangi Gokhale is an Indian actor, known for her performances in Marathi and Hindi theatre, film and television series. She has completed more than 300 shows of the popular play Sakhar Khallea Manus (The man with sweet tooth) and has acted in several popular films and Hindi series, including the landmark series ‘Discovery of India’, directed by Ketan Mehta, in which she played leading social activist and icon, Savitribai Phule.

She has a B.A. (Bachelor of Arts) degree in Dramatics. Besides being an actor, she is also a writer and has written a number of short stories and articles. Her best known roles are Mishri Mausi in Lapataganj and as Shyamla in Shriyut Gangadhar Tipre.
